Simplifying the Vase

The Bouroullec Brothers give a subtle dash of quirk to home décor with their new vase collection: Nuage.

Part of Vitra’s accessories collection, these vases are reminiscent of a cloud. Originally designed as a plastic shelf module, the designers executed a cloud motif in the shape of eight tubular cavities of varying lengths. These eight, upright individual tubes can be used for the artful arrangement of flowers and grasses.

The undulating surfaces, with an anodised finish in various colours produce an attractive interplay of light and shadow. Thanks to their precise outer contours, the vases can be fitted together to create entire 'cloud formations'.
