Renowned product designer Tom
Dixon’s new ‘Screw Stool’ is a work inspired by a sculptor’s rotating table.
A screw – the minute reinforcement
detail in a piece of traditional workshop equipment is the pivotal part of the
design here. Inspired by the materials and processes employed during the
Industrial Revolution, the screw is made from a cast iron tripod base, updated
with a wider footprint for added stability with complete matt finish. The
thread, now in steel, allows for multiple heights by simply spinning the top.
The overall dimension of the product is 46cm in width and 46-63cm in height.
The product is suitable for both,
outdoor and indoor.
