Vitra launches limited editions of two timeless designs

Vitra has launched limited editions of two of its most iconic designs – the Eames Lounge Chair and the Grand Repos chair.

To mark the 60th anniversary of Charles and Ray Eames’ famous design, which first went into production in 1956, Vitra has introduced the Lounge Chair and Ottoman with twill fabric covers complete with a ’60 Years in Production’ label. The limited-edition version echoes Eames’ belief that even classics need to be developed and updated from time to time, with the designers often creating various versions of the Lounge Chair.

The high-quality twill fabric that has been used for this limited-edition version has been taken from the Vitra Colour and Material Library, and imbues the chair with a softness and warmth.

Both limited edition-chairs are available until 31 January 2017 at selected Vitra retailers.
